Frequently Asked

How long does a typical kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchen remodels run 6–12 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough, depending on scope, custom cabinetry lead times, and structural work. We give you a detailed milestone schedule at the proposal stage and stick to it.

Do you use your own crews or subcontractors?

We are a self-performing contractor. Our carpenters, tile setters, electricians, and plumbers are Ashford employees — not subs. This means accountability, quality control, and communication are all internal. One team from start to finish.

What does the free design consultation include?

An NKBA-certified designer visits your home, takes measurements, discusses your lifestyle and aesthetic goals, and reviews material options. There is no cost, no obligation, and no sales pressure. We believe the design conversation should happen before any contracts are signed.

Can I live at home during the renovation?

Yes, and most of our clients do. We contain the work area with dust barriers, protect your flooring throughout the home, and clean the site every day before we leave. For whole-home renovations we can discuss phasing to keep key rooms functional.

What's included in your 5-year warranty?

Our 5-year workmanship warranty covers all labor and installation — tile work, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements. It is in addition to manufacturer warranties on appliances and fixtures. If something we installed fails due to our workmanship within five years, we repair it free of charge.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We partner with GreenSky and Synchrony Bank to offer a range of financing options including 0% promotional APR periods and fixed monthly payment plans. Getting pre-qualified takes about three minutes and does not affect your credit score.
